Alpine Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. is a consulting firm and a research-oriented organization established in 2012 by an interdisciplinary team of highly dedicated professionals. The aim of this organization is to contribute to society by providing research and consulting works on various contemporary issues.

Major areas of work include Environment (Climate change, solid waste, wastewater, air pollution, EIA/IEE/BES/SIA/EMP/EMAP/RAP, C-ESHSMP), Geology, Hydrogeology, Geophysical Survey (Electrical Resistivity Tomography – ERT / Vertical Electric Sounding – VES), Geotechnical study (Core drilling), Disaster Risk Management, Energy, Infrastructure, Natural Resources Management, and Rural Development.

Technical and Managerial Organization of the Firm

The company has a board of executives which is headed by a president. The board employs professionals in a chain of hierarchy as per need. Alpine Consultancy has a simple organizational structure as depicted in the diagram below.

Office Facilities

The office of Alpine Consultancy Pvt, Ltd. is conveniently located at Sangamchowk, Mid Baneshwor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 32. It is at about 10 minutes walking distance from Nayabaneshwor Chowk. The office is situated at the first floor of a four storied building. The office occupies an area of approximately 1000 sqft with. It has well-furnished three rooms. Further, there is a lobby and enough parking spaces.

Equipment

Alpine Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. has a collection of different of instruments necessary to carry out field based research and data analysis for generating the output of the study in wide range of disciplines. Different machines and equipment that are necessary to carry out field survey in the field of geology, engineering and survey are available in the firm. These field instruments include complete surveying kit, geological equipment, and Garmin GPS sets. The firm has recently bought a 2D Geophysical Survey (Electrical Resistivity Tomography-ERT) Equipment (Geomative Studio) with necessary accessories for geophysical survey and ground water exploration. Likewise, the office of consulting firm is highly equipped with all the necessary instruments like computers, photocopy machines, scanner etc. Further GIS and Remote sensing related software (Arc View 3.2A, Arc GIS 10) are also widely used by the consultancy as per demand of the assigned task.

Financial Ability of the Firm

Although the consulting firm is newly established, it has carried out a number of assignments within the short period of time. The paid-up capital of the firm has been increased from 0.1 million to 10 million Nepalese Rupees. The annual turnover of the firm is above 25 million Nepalese Rupees. Finance has not been a constraint for service delivery to date. Different jobs have been completed successfully with the full satisfaction of the client.
